Anthony Thigpenn: “GIS mapping – we use that a lot. We use it a lot at the beginning end to do the design, strategy and targeting. We use it at the training end when we begin to describe to people what neighborhoods are you going to be walking in, what’s the profile of the neighborhoods, how many voters are in these neighborhoods in a very graphic and physical way. We use it as we track during the program itself, so eventually people begin to see green color-coded precincts more every week and motivating[….] And then we use it analysis and evaluation. So GIS mapping has become a very key part that combines the database with a graphical interface that’s very visual for people and a great way for people to learn and evaluate.”
