Henry Serrano: "One of the things that we set up as a goal in the beginning of 2005 and we actually didn’t have time to work on was to try to develop some kind of grassroots fundraising systems, because I think if we have to rely on the same pools and resources of funding it’s going to be very difficult to get this work done. So I think one of the things around electoral work is it might give us the opportunity to actually develop some grassroots systems of fundraising that are going to bring some added funds to it, instead of going back to the same funders to do a different type of work that takes away funding from some other work. I think we as an organization and we as a community have to figure out some different resources that are out there for that."
