Henry Serrano: "Some of the issues around trying to identify a voter through a non-partisan lens – we’ve tried different things. We’ve done kind of like economic justice surveys with some core issues that the organization has worked on for years, some around job creation, around some of public assistance issues, around some economic subsidies issues, and use it as a way of try to quantitatively define someone as a particular type of voter on these economic justice issues. Some of it has been around doing issue ID with people and just figuring out what are the issues that people are talking about, in a sense, what are their priorities. And a lot of times it’s very consistent with what the organization either is working on or has some plans to work on. So some of it comes from finding a constituency that kind of models the membership of the organization already."
