Bineshi Albert: "For us, the Native American Voters Alliance is one of our key programs for the organization, along with other work that we’re doing just on the particular issue that we’ve been working on, and then also our organizational development and our leadership development with our membership. It is one of the – it is probably the flagship program we have, is with the Native American Voters Alliance, and so we do see it as an ongoing, year-round development that we’re doing into that program. Some of it is a lot more intensive during election period and election cycles, but the education is ongoing. Because we’re also trying to encourage this community, the Native American community, to engage in the electoral process at all levels. So we’re talking about not only city and county elections and state and federal elections, but school board elections and trying to get people to get more into the culture and practice of voting regularly and at all levels."
